Still hot after his successful debut on Toytonics (garnering support from the likes of DJ Harvey, Fouk, Mark Farina, Llorca, Glimmers, Lobster Theremin & many more) mysterious MAGOU has decided to break free from label ties and go solo on this new EP, which features 3 nonetheless of major geniuses of our time. First off Umberto ECO, the renowned cultural critic and novelist, is featured on an acid disco number (here in a vinyl-only extended mix). On the flip side, legendary Argentinian writer Jorge Luis BORGES tops the funkiest track of the century, period. Italian maestro Ennio MORRICONE is homaged on the 3rd track, which combines 303 sequences with cinematic choirs and Japanese city pop samples. This is all great but… who is hiding behind the name Magou?
